Miss Amy has trained and qualified under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (I.S.T.D) and holds a Level 4 DDE status (Diploma in Dance Education) in Classical Ballet, Tap & Modern Theatre. The ISTD is now one of the Worlds most, Leading and recognised dance teaching associations. Amy is also part of the 'ISTD Norwich' regional course representatives, co-ordinating 'Teacher Courses' through out the year to improve the quality of Teachers in the area to further  their skills in Both Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern theatre.

 

Principal and owner of 1st Academy of Dance; Miss Amy founded the Dance School at the age of 21 years old, after touring the UK & USA with 'Spirit of the Dance' for a number of years. Her training started at the age of three covering Ballet, Tap, Modern & Musical Theatre. After leaving High school, Amy continued her Training at 'Performers Dance College' in Essex for a further 3 years, Graduating with Distinction in her teaching qualifications and a diploma in 'Professional Dance'. Her professional credits include dancing in the 'Michael Jackson & Friends' concert in Korea and Germany, 9 episodes of 'Talking Telephone numbers with Philip Schofield / The sensational UK & USA tours with ‘Spirit of the Dance, opening & closing ceremony for Euro '96’ and much more.

 

Not only does Amy specialise in Dance; she also holds ZUMBA FITNESS & ZUMBA GOLD qualifications which allows her to instruct all over the world as a registered ZIN Member (Zumba Instructors Network) and holds Advanced Fitness Instructor & Nutritional Studies Certificates with 'Wabba' (World Amature Body Building Association)
